Workshop Objectives
- Define self-compassion and identify how it differs from related concepts.
- Present examples real-life situations where MSC can be used.
- Share practices that can be applied in a variety of settings.
The three-hour workshop will go into more detail, presenting more examples and different types of practices.
Dr. Catherine Crisp is an Associate Professor and the Master of Social Work Program Coordinator at UA Little Rock. As a researcher and educator, she has focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion issues. As a long time meditator, she is the only formally trained Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher in Arkansas and offers workshops and classes on this easy to use practice. She is actively involved in the community and serves on the Board of Directors for the Arkansas House of Prayer, an interfaith meditation center in Little Rock.
